It was a shock to wake up the next morning, Sam's eyes darting around until he realized there was someone curled up to him. His long fingers slipped through Peter's hair and Sam came back to the present. He smiled at Pete and shifted, causing his lover to shift away as well, toward the shadows.

Sam was able to slip out of bed and pull on his jeans. The fly was buttoned but Sam didn't bother with the waist button. No, he had to still take a shower, find some breakfast and teach Peter everything he knew about demons. That last part made Sam take a deep breath, and he reached into his bag and pulled out rock salt. Taking the canister to the window, Sam began to cover the sill in a thick, connected line.

Peter was having the best dream. There were warm arms around him that felt strong, perhaps...no, that couldn't be Sam. He whined softly, under his breath, when the hunter pulled away from him, removing those arms from around him. He sighed, no longer clinging to sleep. What a dream...

He woke slowly, groaning as he turned over into the warm space Sam left. Wait...was that a heartbeat? Not his own, but a second one, and Peter's eyes flew open, muscles tensing as he sat up in a crouch, fists raised.

"Sam?" Peter squinted, dropping to his knees on the bed. The night came rushing back to him, suddenly, and he blinked at his ex-boyfriend. He was really here. Last night...really happened.

"Sorry," Peter blinked again, struggling to have his mind catch up with his reflexes. He stared dumbly at Sam as he moved forward, not quite believing his eyes. But the warm hands on his, big and firm, the lips brushing against his own - it made Peter relax, threading his fingers with Sam's, shy smile touching his lips. "Don't usually wake up to another person so I - "

"Safeguarding?" Peter pulls Sam a little closer, kissing lightly against his jaw. He hadn't even noticed his morning wood until Sam pointed it out, and Peter flushed lightly. "This one's probably for you."

Peter squeezed Sam's hands, small frown creasing his brow. He'd figured it had some kind of significance, but to be honest it had kind of fled his mind. "Are there any other tricks to identify one? Before their eyes turn black?"

"Only if you let me handle some of it, Sam. You can't sideline me here, especially with Doc Ock in the mix." Peter drew the sheets over himself, settling back on the bed. "What kind of things?"

"So every time I've hit one of them I've hit the person they're using?" Peter blanched a little, somewhat worried about the implications of that. He hadn't held back, once he figured out that his usual, mitigated strength wasn't stopping them. He punched with the force that might have killed a regular person, after that - he'd assumed he was fighting supers, after all, some weird form of mutant that could take it.

"How could he have done that? Allied himself with demons, I mean." He'd never heard of any other villain doing it before, so it couldn't have been easy. Peter stared at their hands, watching Sam outline the plan for him. Devil's Trap, alright. He was mainly a photographer but his sketches weren't terrible. "Salt stops them?"

"You do this a lot." It's not a question. He wants to ask how demons know Sam, but he figures that's a whole other story. "Exorcising the demon doesn't save the person, does it?"

"I've stabbed one with a pipe before." Peter admitted. He wasn't proud of it, but to be honest he'd kind of been forced into a corner, bleeding and overwhelmed with about 10 of them on his tail. "Stabbing them doesn't work."

"I can carry you." He's saved people from burning buildings and the like. The idea of killing someone left him a little uneasy, though.

"What do you take me for?" Peter frowned at Sam, trying not to be offended. "I don't take pictures on the job, Sam, christ."

"So you're saying they're all probably..." Peter trailed off, frowning, clearly bothered by this. It all weighed so heavily on him - they had that in common, but Peter really struggled. Maybe it was because of his 'origin story', as Deadpool liked to coin it, shrouded in death as it was.

"Whatever he did, it's bad." Peter summed up, nodding tersely. They needed to head this off before it got much worse. Peter had a sinking feeling he'd already accidentally let it go on too long by not calling someone sooner.

"Oh Sam," Peter sighed softly, managing a small smile when Sam kissed his hand. He'd been doing this all alone? No - hadn't Peter heard something about Sam's brother, when he called John's phone? "If there's no other way. Alright." They'd kill them. If they had to...they'd kill them.

"The last thing we need is more cops on my tail." Peter agreed, brow furrowing as he thought about the families these people had been snatched from. People who just disappeared, and never returned. Well - they would, just, not alive.

"I fake all of them. I set up the camera and swing past it." Peter twitched, trying not to cross his arms, and then, oh shit, the puppy look. Peter could never hold against the puppy look. Usually it only served to piss him off more, but today it served as a warm reminder that Sam was here, really, in front of him. "...ugh, fine. You're terrible, you know that?"

"That's even more illegal than me," Peter pointed out, but with some of the company he kept nowadays, he wasn't exactly going to rank Sam on that scale of morality. Besides, love tended to turn a blind eye. He'd just have to be wary.

"I'm just really passionate about not starving to death, what can I say." Peter snorted, but his frown melted when Sam kissed him. Damn it, there was his kryptonite.

"Seriously?" Peter gave him an incredulous look, not privy to the real motivation behind Sam asking. "You know, I have to mix this stuff. I have to buy materials and tediously mix it and then wind it into these stupid capsules..."

Still, Peter grabbed the webshooter off his desk and slapped it on his arm, letting it attach itself before he hit the button and released a web to Sam's bag. It came flying at them, and Peter caught it before it hit either of them, severing the line and handing the bag to Sam. "Nobody else can shoot it. Well, nobody normal. It takes 70 pounds of pressure to release a web."

"Look who's talking!" Peter nudged his elbow into Sam's side, but his worried mood had all but dissolved. "I didn't mean it as one. I just meant it can't accidentally go off or get into the wrong hands - "

He could push it if he wanted to. He'd probably have to stomp on it to get it to release. The fact that Peter had 70 pounds of pressure available with just two of his fingers was a testament to his superpowers.

"I try," Peter drawled, smiling when Sam leaned in to kiss his collarbone. His hand reached up to curl lightly in Sam's hair.

"Wow, way to make a guy feel special," Peter teased, groaning and tipping his head to give Sam better access to his neck. "Mm, we can make time."

A quick glance at the clock said it was 11. They should eat, pick a warehouse, get supplies and everything - yeah, they could spare a minute or two. Peter didn't budge, kissing Sam back and honestly, barely noticing the change in weight. He was too happy, and he didn't have to worry about hiding that part of himself from Sam anymore. It was all too easy to slip into his version of normal.

"Mm, usually lucky if I'm asleep by five. Then those damn eight AM's..." He'd picked up a much more punishing schedule with his vigilantism without Sam there to come home to. This was a special occasion, okay? Giving him a hard time...

Why was that a good idea in the first place? Peter grinned against Sam's mouth, pulling at his fly with one hand. It unzipped under the pressure, and Peter slid his hand into Sam's pants, sliding over his hips, the line of his pelvis.

They really did spend far too much time getting to know each other in the biblical sense, didn't they? Peter wasn't exactly complaining, though. It was only fair - Sam had a lot of skin that needed mapping out, and Peter was more than happy to cartograph every inch.

Peter pushed the jeans down as far as they would go, but at that point it didn't matter; there was more than enough room for them to touch, to grind. "Is it my turn to taste?" Peter purred, ducking his head to let his tongue dart over Sam's thumb.

"Kinky," Peter chuckled softly, looking up at Sam with what could only be described as a smirk. He could be such a little shit, especially in bed. He palmed himself, using his other hand to guide Sam's hips closer to his face.

"You think I'm going to spill, you got another thing coming, Winchester." Peter kissed the head of Sam's cock, raising an eyebrow. "This is mine."

"I'll show you. Fucking show you," Peter laughed again, warm and bright, before he guided Sam's cock into his mouth. Warm, wet, and perfectly eager to swallow him down. Granted, Peter couldn't go quite as fast as he normally did - he'd been out of practice for some time now.

Seriously, though, the fact that Sam was so attracted to his brain never failed to make him blush. Like when he helped him 'study' for his molecular biology final...well, let's just say Peter never forgot the phases of meiosis.

Peter worked himself slowly, hand drawing lazily up and down his length. Most of his attention was focused on Sam, pursing his lips tight around his shaft and bobbing forward, taking a little more each time as he worked up to it.

The request got a hum from him, and Peter looked up at Sam, hair wild from his bad case of bedhead. His free hand smoothed over Sam's hips, trailing down to his balls, cupping them against the heat of his palm.
